PPEMS
We had our first meeting for PPEMS this Saturday at the Beehive in Southside. We are off to a very good start I think, we brainstormed things we would like to get accomplished in the next few weeks before out meeting on June 11th. The goals were as such:
1. Create an official website
2. Create a soundcloud
3. Look up music for samples
4. Collaborate in person
5. Find Venue
6. Get a set list of Djs
7. Work on a code of ethics
8. Establish a network
We took it a step further to give different people different roles. Mine were such:
1. I'll create soundcloud
2. Work on finding venue
3. Network establishment- artists
4. Work on code of ethics
1.Venue- We are working on finding a small venue for our first show, a legal venue, an affordable and appropriate one as well.
2.Set list of producers/djs
So far we have Adam Wolfe, Brian Adams, Mike Webar, Perris Dietrich, and Nice Nate.
3. Genre diversity- we want to deviate from the old rave scene to have a lot more genres like experimental noise, IDM, neurofunk, and glitchhop as well as all the other genres.

How It Works
Space-Time, which is our dimension where space is three dimensional and time is linear, contains applied energy from time-space to enable it to exist. Time-space is what one would call "the 4th Dimension". Time is three-dimensional, therefore exists as a wave. You cannot move through space but you can move through time.
Fractal geometry explains that no matter how small something that exists is, it contain's everything that ever was, will be, and everything that is. Therefore from any point you access everything.
Matter is created by the transferring of energy from fourth density to third density. So the energy from Time-Space which in aspect from the smallest aspect to the largest one contains everye thing and being everything is infinite both ways, the shear fact of it being that enables it to exist.
You could think of 4th density as an entity that is everything because everything in it is connected through intelligent means, and there is a limitless amount of reality in it therefore it creates and dictates realities in the 3rd dimension.
Sacred geometry is ultimately our way of interpreting how this intelligent, cosmic, multi dimensional consciousness works. Vibrations is what makes it all come together and all activate at each point. Vibration in the most general of ways is activity or movement of everything. Vibration forces are simulated through every novel complication the universe manifests. And what is the activity of everything in existance. Pittsburgh Progressive Electronic Music Scene
I am one whom really values electronic music as a whole and the potential of an electronic music scene resembling a modern version of "hippyism" in the character and unity of the people whom attend. I am deeply passionate in every aspect of this highly evolved medium of art. Furthermore, the Pittsburgh electronic music scene is a disgrace to what it is supposed to be. People with little or no appreciation for EDM flock to these gatherings where they "get fucked up" and "party" or to make money off their fake drugs. To make it worse, the DJs present the most generic and mainstream aspects of EDM. Like, fuckin' for real, create something new, create diversity.
My dispositions have caused me to start a group on facebook called "Pittsburgh Progressive Electronic Music Scene". The focus of this is to start a new electronic music scene in Pittsburgh based on the musical aspects. I am getting together a group of driven people whom's focus is to divert from the old and create something new, something better, something never done before.....

Wow, I really extend my love and compassion as a human beings to those affected by this tragedy, I didn't realize the magnitude of this disaster. However, I feel these disasters are a part of our earth and time itself going through its last cycle before completion of creation.
Lately, people are talking about the same things, more and more aspects of reality and intertwining and becoming one. More and more people are opening up to evolved ideologies and realizations. Something is going on....

Moving Forward

My aunt is involved with selling these products, and I am supposed to start selling them in Western PA for the time being actually. This is just another example of how people in all realms of our society are pushing forward for a more sustainable way of living here on planet earth.
On the home page of this website, it states "Green Building Products for The New Industrial Revolution." Unlike the previous industrial revolution, this one will take into account all things in relation to everything else. It will take into account sustainability, ecological protection, and product efficiency.
This company much relates to the goals of the Venus Project. It produces mineral based cement products that create minimal waste and are derived from renewable resources.
Again, we are holding a TZM Pittsburgh meeting this weekend. I am not sure the exact time, but Saturday it will be. As soon as people get back to me whom would like to attend a suitable time for them I wilL announce a time.
It has disturbed me the downgrade of the Pittsburgh electronic music scene, it bothers me to my core, so much that I am very inclined to do something about it.
I am going to start a new Pittsburgh electronic music scene, not based on the notorious drug use and trafficking that is usually associated with raves, but one based on electronic music and the peace, love, unity, and respect value systems that are usually put forth. To do this, I am going to network with people from Carnegie Mellon and Pitt whom currently aren't involved in the crackhead rave scene and work with them and collaborate on ideas to start a new electronic music scene for Pittsburgh. Some ideas for this would be;
1: inclusion of electronic music that is innovative and unique, I don't want DJ's dropping Skrillex and Rusko every set they do. We want to start something unique.
2. MUSIC
3. LOVE
4. LOVE

Well, the peaceful gathering of hands went very well I would say. I got a chance to network with some people in the Pittsburgh area whom are artists, filmmakers, and musicians all focused on promoting a peaceful global society as well as a culturally flourishing one. There was free food throughout the gathering and furthermore groups of people dedicated to transition our cyclically consumptive and materialistic world into a more ecologically friendly, sustainable, and humane society. Speaking of such, listen to this track by my friend, I have been talking to him quite a bit lately and he just finished this track and I find it extremely relevant to what I just stated.

So I am taking a bit more initiation in my activism to assist massive societal and global change. A while back my friend Will Fleming started The Zeitgeist Movement Pittsburgh chapter. After a while he changed his political/social dispositions. Therefore, he withdrew from being the leader of the Pittsburgh chapter. I have made the decision to become the new Pittsburgh leader hence starting up weekly meetings for TZM Pittsburgh. Furthermore, I am going to generalize my blog and really broaden what my blog is.
I think a great way to start TZM Pittsburgh is to collectively brainstorm goals and follow through with each one of them. My goals are such:
1. Create a broad network of members in Pittsburgh who are willingly going to involve themselves in what we can DO locally to initiate change.
2. Exponentially increase the network
3. Iniatiate projects relating to proper education, environmental awareness, protection, and regeneration and so on and so forth.
4. Diligently remain connected as a group; frequent group discussions on the internet, and frequent group meetings.

TZM Pittsburgh
My social ideas go hand in hand with the Venus Project and The Zeitgeist Movement. If you aren't familiar with them, TZM addresses the broadest of aspects of our society, the problems that exist within it, why those problems are there, and solutions that would be most effective and relevant in process for those problems. It addresses the obselesence and illegitimacy of the monetary system. It promotes as system designed around nature and particularly focusing on human needs without harming the earth or creating something that is unsustainable.
The Venus Project addresses the technical aspects: the technology used to set up a very advanced, humane, and ecologically friendly infrastructure. Furthermore, it advocates a resource based economy. A resource based economy is when we prioritize and design our methods of production and distribution around human needs, sustainability, and looking at the planet as a system of interlocking and interconnected systems that make up one bigger thing. We make decisions not based on monetary economics but what truly is best for the people and for the planet.
Furthermore I am restarting weekly meets for TZM Pittsburgh.

Effort To Move Things Forward
Being of the detrimental status quo of human society and furthermore it's negative effects ecologically and environmentally, We must band together to create a movement based on the most universal ways of spreading knowledge and awareness and even take a step forward to get a larger group together in unison with their collaborative thought.
Our existing society demeans human beings in every which way one could imagine. Not only does the profit motive drive people to abandon the needs and well being of human beings, but it causes much detriment to our environment.
Our system is illogical being that it is unsustainable. It is nothing short of insanity to put in jeopardy the future of our planet, our species, and all other species and life forms that exist on our earth.
For too long many have kept their thought process within the rules of the game which inherently had no relevance to anything to us. It was the most obvious thing all along, the most general aspect of our system; monetary economics.
We must design a system that works with the ways of nature, not in opposition of it.

Guten Morgen!
So I feel as though some event of epic proportions is bound to happen within the next few days. I have been pondering about the "Peaceful Gathering of Hands" and I feel that that event is extremely significant for the local progression of society. It puts forth the value premises of a resource based economy and furthermore promotes collaborative thought, communal living, and peaceful function in society. I am actively participating with this event and am even volunteering to set it up. It is another big step in making the changes necessary to bring about a world of peace, love, unity, and respect.

Q: How would you describe your music? How would you descibe both your method and and attitude towards producing electronic music?
A:The music I make is mostly dubstep and drumstep, mixed with some 8bit video games synths. I like my bass lines heavy and filthy, but I can't have them without some old school video game melodies. I try to give my songs some sort of flow, something that you could dance to if you wanted to. For the majority of my music I use Ableton and Fruity Loops, but am not limited to those 2 programs.
Q: How long have you been producing?
A: I've been working on learning how to produce music for roughly 8 months now. The past 3 months though, I've been working on overdrive
Q: What inspired you to make electronic music?
A: Well, I've been making music my whole life. Started playing drums when I was just a little kid, but I never got the idea to make EDM until I went to a rave with my buddy out in the middle of a forest. I sort of had an epiphany while I was there, that I could be doing what the DJ's there were doing, that it didn't look too hard.
Q: How is the electronic music scene in your area?
A: There wasn't one at all! That is until my buddy Jynx and I (with help from lots of people!) set up our cities first Dubstep event back in April. It did extremely well though. We will at least be having 1 or 2 events a month now.
Q: What would you say is the most popular sub genre in your area?
A: Well, since there's never really been an EDM scene here, a lot of the people here have only got to listen to dubstep and a little bit of electro house. I'd say dubstep is the most popular genre here.
Q: Are you strongly connected within your local community of producers and djs? Nationally? Internationally?
A: I'd say I'm pretty connected with my local community. I talk to almost every artist that's anywhere from around here. I have DJ/Producer friends spread all across the country, whether it be Jersey, North Carolina, Florida, or New York. Internationally, I've made friends with a lot of helpful people, mostly from the UK.
Q: Do you feel that the uprising of technology via the internet via sound cloud could spark a possible cultural revolution being sound cloud is a growing community of producers that produce their music out of shear ambition and not for the purpose of monetary gain?
A: Hasn't it already? I made my start on Soundcloud and find it to be amazing ! Soundcloud motivates many great artist to make music, and seem to be growing every day. If you aren't using it, I don't know what you're doing haha.
Q: How many shows have you played? Any festivals?
A: Well, seeing as I started to learn how to DJ at the same time I started to produce, it hasn't been too long. I've held off from doing any gigs in the beginning, because I wanted to focus solely on getting better at making music, and actually getting my music out there. I want to be able to play my own music, not someone else's. I just did my first event in April, and currently have 3 booked in the next 2 months.
Q: What other producers do you admire in the current electronic music scene?
A: I'd have to say my favorites right now are, J. Rabbit, Helicopter Showdown, Getter, NiT GriT, Doctor P, Roksonix, Funtcase, and Figure. and KhemehK!
Q: Do you agree with me that dubstep really is a special genre because it has become so versatile and is increasingly so?
A:I think Dubstep is a special genre, it's also a new genre that's trying to find it's place. I think it will keep evolving until it finds that perfect spot.
Q: Would you say your strengths lie in mixing or producing?
A: I'd say producing. It's been my main focus the past few months, but now that I'm almost done with my album that's dropping next month (hopefully) I will be starting to mix more and do more shows.
Q: Have you collaborated with any other producers? If not, do you plan to?
A: I haven't yet, but on my upcoming album there are 5 producers doing remixes for me. I'm currently working with KhemehK on a track that's being released on a separate EP, and it's coming along great! I have plans to work with MANY artists in the near future.
Q: What are you working on currently that is not released yet to sound cloud?
A: Well, I'm working on all the songs dropping on my album: "I Don't Give A Fuck", "I Shoot Lazers", "Glitch It", "Beast", and another that I just started. I'm also working on remastering my Androidz tracks and releasing a VIP for those. Working on a new Donnie Darko themed song, and another one themed around the Evil Dead/Army of Darkness movies. I'm also doing a collab with KhemehK that we just started, and already it's amazing !
Q: What equipment do you use to DJ?
A: To DJ, I do most of my work on my APC and Ableton. I also used my Axiom 49 keyboard, but I will be replacing that in future shows with some new equipment.

Q: What would you say is the most popular sub genre in your area?
A: Well, since there's never really been an EDM scene here, a lot of the people here have only got to listen to dubstep and a little bit of electro house. I'd say dubstep is the most popular genre here.
Q: Are you strongly connected within your local community of producers and djs? Nationally? Internationally?
A: I'd say I'm pretty connected with my local community. I talk to almost every artist that's anywhere from around here. I have DJ/Producer friends spread all across the country, whether it be Jersey, North Carolina, Florida, or New York. Internationally, I've made friends with a lot of helpful people, mostly from the UK.
Q: Do you feel that the uprising of technology via the internet via sound cloud could spark a possible cultural revolution being sound cloud is a growing community of producers that produce their music out of shear ambition and not for the purpose of monetary gain?
A: Hasn't it already? I made my start on Soundcloud and find it to be amazing ! Soundcloud motivates many great artist to make music, and seem to be growing every day. If you aren't using it, I don't know what you're doing haha.
Q: How many shows have you played? Any festivals?
A: Well, seeing as I started to learn how to DJ at the same time I started to produce, it hasn't been too long. I've held off from doing any gigs in the beginning, because I wanted to focus solely on getting better at making music, and actually getting my music out there. I want to be able to play my own music, not someone else's. I just did my first event in April, and currently have 3 booked in the next 2 months.
Q: What other producers do you admire in the current electronic music scene?
A: I'd have to say my favorites right now are, J. Rabbit, Helicopter Showdown, Getter, NiT GriT, Doctor P, Roksonix, Funtcase, and Figure. and KhemehK!
Q: Do you agree with me that dubstep really is a special genre because it has become so versatile and is increasingly so?
A:I think Dubstep is a special genre, it's also a new genre that's trying to find it's place. I think it will keep evolving until it finds that perfect spot.
Q: Would you say your strengths lie in mixing or producing?
A: I'd say producing. It's been my main focus the past few months, but now that I'm almost done with my album that's dropping next month (hopefully) I will be starting to mix more and do more shows.
Q: Have you collaborated with any other producers? If not, do you plan to?
A: I haven't yet, but on my upcoming album there are 5 producers doing remixes for me. I'm currently working with KhemehK on a track that's being released on a separate EP, and it's coming along great! I have plans to work with MANY artists in the near future.
Q: What are you working on currently that is not released yet to sound cloud?
A: Well, I'm working on all the songs dropping on my album: "I Don't Give A Fuck", "I Shoot Lazers", "Glitch It", "Beast", and another that I just started. I'm also working on remastering my Androidz tracks and releasing a VIP for those. Working on a new Donnie Darko themed song, and another one themed around the Evil Dead/Army of Darkness movies. I'm also doing a collab with KhemehK that we just started, and already it's amazing !
Q: What equipment do you use to DJ?
A: To DJ, I do most of my work on my APC and Ableton. I also used my Axiom 49 keyboard, but I will be replacing that in future shows with some new equipment.

It's called a peaceful gathering of hands. The premise is to bring a wide variety of people together so they can therefore share there thoughts, ideas, art, music, and food. It really is taking a whole new step in our world becoming peaceful, resourceful, and communal.
I myself plan to bring my art that is photographic collages to show there. I as well will bring forth my ideas and writing to find people I can network and collaborate with.

Interview With Beazt
1. How would you describe your music? How would you descibe both your method and and attitude towards producing electronic music?
1. My music is mostly Dub Step and Drum and Bass, but I like all types of electronic music and plan on producing Dub Step, DNB, House, and even some chill wave stuff. I tend to make some grimy sounds but love the chill melodies and the softer side. My music is Heavy, Fun, and entertaining, something to bob your head to, it keeps you’re attention through out the song and I really try to make sounds that I have never heard before. When I make a song I rarely have a idea of what its going to be, I try not to plan it out and just let the inspiration flow and free myself to the universe and the song writes it self. I love making music, it’s its like a painting or a giant puzzle and when all the pieces are together you have a huge accomplishment, it doesn’t matter if anyone else like it its art however you look at it.
2. What program(s) do you use for production?
2. I use Logic 9, and Komplete ( fm8, massive, reaktor, Kontakt , Kore ) But my favorite synth is by far RAZOR from native instruments its where the BEAZT sound comes from.
3. How long have you been producing?
3. I have been producing electronic music for almost three months. One of my best friends “The Plague” and I split Komplete and Logic and have been working hard since February of 2011.
4. What inspired you to make electronic music?
4. I love electronic music , even as a child I was running the outs from my TV to a tape deck and would record video game songs, like space harrier and Tetris. So the music inspired me to write music the sounds the beats. I also have my best buds to thank for inspiration, The Plague, Teeel, and the infamous Com Truise. I have also been a dj for years and thought it was time to play my own tunes.
5. How is the electronic music scene in your area?
5. It’s a solid scene in the NJ Philly area with multiple parties a month going off. I try to get out and support as much as I can but lately I have been staying and focusing on production.
6. I would say house music is the most popular music in my area, though dub step has been catching allot of ears. The house djs play dub step and the drum and bass djs play dub step so its been crossing some serious barriers. I would like to mention that Philly is known for its DNB scene, it’s not as strong as it was but parties still go off on the regular and that’s where you will find me.
7, Are you strongly connected within your local community of producers and djs? Nationally? Internationally?
7. I wouldn’t say that I am very connected with local artist, or international artists only those I talk to through soundcloud.
8. Do you feel that the uprising of technology via the internet via sound cloud could spark a possible cultural revolution being sound cloud is a growing community of producers that produce their music out of shear ambition and not for the purpose of monetary gain?
8. I sure hope that with technology and music we can change the world, but to many people only listen to what the radio and the TV plays, “the mass’s” need to get off their asses and search for quality music and truth. I feel there will be a revolution in the coming years and the only thing we have to rely on is technology and the genius of the human mind to recreate our future with technology and resources as the focus not money and profit.

9. I have been DJing for many years and have played countless shows, clubs, and venues with some of the biggest artist in the world such as John B, Evol Intent Dylan, and Tech Itch just to name a few.
10. What other producers do you admire in the current electronic music scene?
10. I admire The Plague Helicopter Showdown, Sluggo, Reso, John B, Evol Intent, Audio, TEEEL, Com Truise.
11. Do you agree with me that dubstep really is a special genre because it has become so versatile and is increasingly so?
11. I think Dub Step is special because many people can relate to it and many people who might not normally enjoy electronic music can get down to the groovy beats. I do feel that it is like DNB was ten years ago it’s going through its transformation and evolving and it’s an amazing thing to watch it happen and be a part of it!
12. What producers inspired you to producer the music you produce?
12. I would say I started making music because I love the music not because any particular producers inspired me.
13. Would you say your strengths lie in mixing or producing?
13. I would say my strengths are in Mixing for sure because I have been spinning for over ten years, but I am quickly getting stronger at production and working hard at increasing the quality of my music.
14. Have you collaborated with any other producers? If not, do you plan to?
14. Right now I am working with The Plague and we have started GRINDHOUSE (BEAZT & The Plague) there are other producers we would like to work with in the future and hopefully those project will start to materialize soon.
15. What are you working on currently that is not released yet to sound cloud?
15. GRINDHOUSE is working on a six song EP for Foul Play Records.
16. What are your thoughts on your preference program for producing music?
16. I use Logic 9 and I love it, it gives a great sound out of the box. I have tried Reason and Abelton and Logic seems fit my style of writing the best.
17. What equipment do you use to dj?
17. I have two Pioneer 800 MK2’s and a Behringer pro 4000 digital mixer two KRK Rockit 6 two KRK rockit 5 and a KRK rockit 10 sub for studio monitors.
18. How socially accepted/popular is electronic music in your area?
18. Electronic Music is very accepted since I live next to NY City Philly and Trenton, it is very common to hear electronic music at the bars and clubs in the area. Often you will hear dub step or house being blasted from someone’s vehicle.
19. How do you feel about the status quo of planet earth?
19. Planet earth has been on a cycle for millions of years and I feel that we are entering a new period where we will see many changes. The people on this planet need to break free from the slavery called the monetary system and do what is right for humanity and the planet. We have the technology and resources to be a great species but we let money and profit blind us from what is truly important.

Wake up America!
So Osama Bin Laden is dead and many peoples reaction to this event implicates that they actually are indoctrinated to believe that Osama Bin Laden and terrorists in the middle east actually have relevance to our lives and somehow the downfall of them symbolizes the long fought war. Our gov't and social systems are the real terrorists, they are the ones who suppress us, exploit us, jail us, and ultimately abuse and demean our true human aspect. It is an outrage that people do not see our situation for really what it is, we are fooled by the media that we have to worry about some terrorists in the middle east and some guy in a cave that is now dead when in reality, the things the government is doing to so many people, not to mention our beautiful mother earth and it's many features, is so horrific and exploitative that they need something like terrorists or Osama Bin Laden to distract from what is really going on.
To submit to an exploitative power is disrespectful to our race. It is time where everyone realizes this and takes a collective effort to stand up to the one's in power and ultimately stand up for the human aspect of all of us.
No more will we be submissive to a government that controls us, demeans our true human value, dictates our freedom, suppresses our economic health, destroys our home (the earth), abuses our animals for the sake of profit and free market, suppress the use of mind expanding substances, perpetually pushes hard drugs by means of bringing them into the country and then busting the people who do them, and really lies to us in all aspects and brutally tortures those whom try to bring truth to the public. FUCK YOU AMERICAN GOVERNMENT!!
